Space Shuttle Mission: STS-125

I am very interested to follow what happen with the International Space Station and watch the Space Shyttle everytime it lift off. Some yaers ago I was in Kenedy Space Center and had an oppurtunity to see lift off. It was fantastic to hear the sound and see the start of the Shyttle.

Some days later I heard the 2 sound bangs, when the Shyttle passed the sound barrier when coming back for landing. Exciting to listen to the communication between the Shyttle and the tower.

To day (May 11) is a busy day is ahead for the crew of space shuttle Atlantis as they continue to close in on the Hubble Space Telescope. Today's wake-up music was "Kryptonite" performed by 3 Doors Down. It was played shortly after 5 a.m. EDT for STS-125 Pilot Greg Johnson.

Space shuttle Atlantis and crew successfully lifted off at 2:01 p.m. EDT on May 11, 2009, beginning the STS-125 mission to service NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
